The Cricket Tournament has been conducted by the Eelam Tamil Association of Victoria for the past 20 years. The tournament is held, annually, as an 11-a-side league game over the summer cricketing season. Last years tournament produced high levels of competitive social cricket among the young Tamils of Victoria. It also brought together more than 200 Tamil players in a sprit of togetherness. A great way for Tamils to socialise and meet other Victorian Tamils this summer. The 2006/2007 season will commence on the 14th of January 2007 and conclude on the 18th of March 2007. This years tournament, for the first time in its long history, incorporates a new ball introduced to simulate standard cricket conditons more closely.
